We welcome a wide range of papers on the conference
theme and related issues. Topics might include but should not be
limited to the following:

· Women and the Public Sphere
Please submit 1-2 page abstracts for individual
presentations and panel proposals (including the name of a moderator)
by October 31, 2004. Please include a cover sheet with your name,
address, phone number, email address, institutional affiliation
and a brief biographical paragraph. Please do not include any identifying
information on your abstract. Proposals may be sent via regular
