Camille Martin, founder and Director of LitCity in New Orleans and author of Sesame Kiosk (Potes and Poets, 2002), Rogue Embryo (Lavender Ink, 1999), Magnus Loop (Chax, 1999), and Plastic Heaven (Fell Swoop, 1996), read from these and from her new manuscript, Codes of Public Sleep, in the friendly confines of Cité des Arts—our first time in this wonderful, cozy, and altogether excellent venue. The coffee was prime, the tech worked without hitch or glitch, and the sound was pin-drop perfect, just like Camille's voice and poems. |
