Subrata Dasgupta is UL Lafayette's Eminent Scholar in Computer Science and the Director of the Institute for Cognitive Science. Author of books on computer architecture and design theory, his most recent scholarly work has been concerned with the nature of creativity. His first novel, Three Times a Minority, treats the political, social, and emotional travails of an Indian woman who is awarded a Ph.D. in physics in the 1950s.
