Getting Involved

Presently, the UL Lafayette team is interested in talking to the following types of individuals in Lafayette and the surrounding areas:

Oil field workers;
Oil field executives;
Wives and other family members of offshore workers;
People associated with businesses (such as helicopters, the legal profession, or real estate) that grew as a direct result of opportunities brought about by the oil and gas industry; and
Community leaders who witnessed local development related to the oil industry.

Generally, the project seeks individuals whose perspectives are derived from experiences in the industry starting prior to 1965.
