PSG Charles B. Allen Memorial Award for Contributions to Phi Alpha Theta

This award is given to a graduate student who has presented a paper at a conference and has made contributions to the department. Its recipient receives both a certificate and cash award from the UL-L Foundation.

Walter Craddock Endowed Scholarship Award for Outstanding Juniors in History, Philosophy, or Political Science

These two awards are given to outstanding juniors in History, Philosophy, or Political Science. Its recipient receives both a certificate and cash award from the UL-L Foundation.

 

W. Magruder Drake Senior Award for Excellence in History

This award is given to the outstanding history senior. Its recipient receives both a certificate and cash award from the UL-L Foundation.

 

John Robert Moore Award for Outstanding Achievement in a History Survey Course by an Underclassman

Presented by Phi Alpha Theta, this award is presented to an outstanding freshman in a history survey course. Its recipient receives both a plaque and certificate.

 

Harold A. Petersen Prize in British History and Canadian Studies for Best Undergraduate Paper

This award is given to the undergraduate who has written the best paper in British or Canadian studies for a UL-L class in any discipline. Its recipient receives both a certificate and monetary scholarship form the UL-L Foundation.

 

Dr. Alexander Sas-Jaworsky Endowed History Scholarship

This scholarship may be awarded every semester and its qualifications include: U.S. citizenship;  junior, senior, or graduate class standing; a GPA of at least 3.0; demonstration of possessing a love of history as well as being an independent thinker. Its recipient receives both a certificate and cash award.
