There are many advantages to being a philosophy major at UL Lafayette. Philosophy majors are encouraged to pursue their own interests in the field and are not restricted by an overly rigid set of requirements. In addition, there is a great deal of interaction between philosophy majors and members of faculty. This is one of the main advantages to being a philosophy major. Philosophy majors are not just another 'face in the crowd', rather they are full members of the UL Lafayette 'philosophy family'. If you think you might be interested in becoming a philosophy major, then feel free to drop us a line at philosophy@louisiana.edu, or stop by the department for a chat. In the meantime, below you will find detailed information about a major in philosophy.
