THE SOUTHERN REGIONAL ALGEBRA CONFERENCE
AT THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA AT LAFAYETTE
SEPTEMBER 28-30, 2007

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette will once again host the Southern Regional Algebra Conference this coming September. We will follow a format of 25 minute talks. The first talk will begin at approximately 1:30 PM on Friday and the last talk will end before noon on Sunday. As usual, there is no financial support provided for the participants by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. However supper on Friday evening will be funded by the Conference for all participants at a locally well known restaurant. There will be a fee for non-participants (e.g., spouse, etc.). All alcoholic beverages at the supper will have to be paid on an individual basis and cannot be funded by the Conference. On Saturday (early) evening there will be a fully funded picnic dinner. The talks will take place in Maxim Doucet Hall. Please sign in upon arrival in Room 451. At the sign-in station, full conference details will be available.

We have to notify the restaurant of the number of diners for Friday night. Thus, if you have not already done so, please inform me ASAP if you will be dining with us and the number of guests that you will be bringing to the restaurant and picnic. I WILL ASSUME (UNLESS NOTIFIED OTHERWISE) THAT ALL SPEAKERS WILL BE DINING WITH US. Also, if you have not already done so, notify me ASAP if you desire a vegetarian meal.

Lafayette is in the center of Cajun Country and is served by several airlines, Amtrak, and bus service. It is within a few hours driving distance via Interstate 10 from New Orleans or Houston. In late September the weather in Lafayette will be mild. Some Hotel and Motel information is provided below. BE SURE to inform the clerk that you should get the University of Louisiana at Lafayette conference rate.

I am trying to compile a handout of the abstracts. So I would be grateful if the speakers could send me a PDF File with their title and abstract if you have not already done so. I apologize for not indicating this format earlier.

If you have any further questions please contact me (I hope to see you here !!!).
