Statement:
My main research interests lie in the intersection between General Algebra (also known as
Universal Algebra) and Group Theory. I am particularly interested in the interplay between
ideas and tools from general algebra and how they can be used to solved concrete problems
in other areas of mathematics.
Selected research publications:
- Capability of nilpotent products of cyclic groups II,
submitted.
- Capability of nilpotent products of cyclic groups,
Journal of Group Theory, 8 (2006), 431-452. MR 2006c:20073.
- Capable two-generator 2-groups of class 2,
Communications in Algebra, 34 (2006), 2183-2193.
- Gauss's Lemma for Number Fields (with David McKinnon),
The American Mathematical Monthly 112,
no. 5 (2005), 385-416.
