Science 101
Science Majors Orientation

Text: Keys to Science Success, Katz, Carter, Bishop, and Kravitz, Prentice Hall, 2000, with accompanying supplemental material
University of Louisiana at Lafayette Undergraduate Bulletin
For this class, it is important that you acquire your text and the Student Planner for Success by the second class meeting. At approximately the sixth class meeting, you will be asked to give a two minute presentation of the career path in which you are most interested at this time. Pages 31 through 41 of your text give examples of career paths in the sciences. You may select one of these or a career path of your own choice on which to do research. If you are undecided on a specific career path in the sciences, a visit to the career placement center during the semester would be beneficial.
