						JULIE SIMON-DRONET Director juliedronet@louisiana.edu Office (337) 482-6397 Home (337) 981-6557 Julie manages public relations, news services, licensing, and athletics marketing and promotions for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She develops and initiates public relations activities, including visual identity campaigns, special events and community awareness projects. She is also responsible for oversight of media releases, broadcast promotions, videos, "La Louisiane" magazine and other promotional activities. Julie represents the university in community organizations and serves as a spokesperson for UL Lafayette. She holds a bachelor's degree in English-Journalism from USL.
						KATHLEEN THAMES Associate Director for Publications kat@louisiana.edu Office (337) 482-6397 Home (337) 896-5605 Kathleen is editor of "La Louisiane," a biannual, full-color magazine with a circulation of about 70,000, and "LegisLetter," a newsletter for Louisiana legislators. She is responsible for the PRNS website and assists with various PRNS projects. Kathleen holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Louisiana State University.
						ERIC B. MARON Assistant Director for Marketing and Promotions emaron@louisiana.edu Office (337) 482-6842 Home (337) 237-4573 Eric handles marketing and promotion of all UL Lafayette sports. He holds a bachelor's degree from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La., and a master's degree in communication from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
						Matt Tarver Assistant Director for Trademark Licensing mct7040@louisiana.edu Office (337) 482-6397 Matt assists with the planning, coordination and implementation of UL Lafayette’s licensing program, which protects and promotes the use of the university’s logos. He is editor of “Alumni Accents,” the UL Lafayette Alumni Association newsletter. Matt earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English/professional writing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
						CHRISTINE PAYTON Assistant Director for Print Media payton@louisiana.edu Office (337) 482-6477 Home (337) 857-1917 Christine coordinates publicity for UL Lafayette with local, state and national print media. She writes and distributes news releases about the university, its faculty and students. Also, she produces UL Lafayette's weekly e-newsletter. Christine holds a bachelor's degree in print journalism from USL.
						CHERE´ BREAUX Assistant Director for Broadcast Media cherebreaux@louisiana.edu Office (337) 482-1351 Cheré coordinates publicity for UL Lafayette with local, state and national broadcast media. She produces "University Avenue," a video news release that highlights UL Lafayette students, faculty, programs and alumni. Also, she assists with various university video projects. Cheré holds a bachelor's degree in mass communication from UL Lafayette.
						SUSAN BARNETT Administrative Secretary sbarnett@louisiana.edu Office (337) 482-6397 As the assistant to the director of Public Relations and News Services, Susan helps with the departmental budget, purchasing, personnel needs and special events. She also supports the department staff and supervises a team of student workers. Susan has worked at UL Lafayette since 1992. She has held positions in the university's bookstore, Student Government Association Office and Scholarship Office. She is a USL graduate.
