| EVENT: 2011 Lagniappe Week at UL Lafayette DATE: Monday April 25 - Wednesday April 27 TIME: see info below (Cypress Lake jump on April 27 at 11:45 a.m.) LOCATION: Student Union porch and parking lot, Cypress Lake and Earl K. Long gym (see below) INFORMATION: Lagniappe Week 2011 kicks off today wth a basketball game at Earl K. Long gym at 7 p.m. Halftime will feature a dunk contest and 3-point contest. On Tuesday, students will race in canoes on Cypress Lake starting at 3 p.m. On Wednesday, the traditional swamp jump into Cypress Lake will happen at 11:45 a.m. followed by a cake giveaway at noon on the Student Union Porch. At 3 p.m., festivities begin in the Student Union parking lot. Boiled crawfish and live entertainment from Geno Delafose will be from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This event is free for students with a meal plan.
