| EVENT: Acadiana Red and White Day at Louisiana State Capitol DATE: Wednesday, April 16, 2008 TIME: see information below. Buses depart from Cajundome at 9 a.m. LOCATION: Louisiana State Capitol INFORMATION: The University of Louisiana at Lafayette along with area partners are heading to Baton Rouge on April 16 for Acadiana Red and White Day. UL Lafayette officials are partnering with Acadiana-area Chamber of Commerces, Economic Development councils, city and parish governments, convention and visitors bureaus and the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, Lafayette Economic Development Authority, South Louisiana Community College and the Acadiana Legislative Delegation for this event. Highlights include a photo on the Capitol steps at 1 p.m., recognition of retiring-president Dr. Ray Authement in the House at 1:45 p.m. and the Senate at 2:30 p.m. followed by a reception at 4:30 p.m. Acadiana Red and White Day is designed to highlight the needs of Acadiana and to also give recognition to the Acadiana Legislative Delegation.
