| EVENT: 2009 Acorns of Hope event at UL Lafayette DATE: Wednesday, Nov. 18 TIME: 9:30 a.m. LOCATION: grounds near Girard Hall on campus (corner of University Avenue and Johnston Street) INFORMATION: UL Lafayette President Joseph Savoie and the Student Government Association will welcome Acorns of Hope to campus for a special presentation and tree planting Wednesday. The campus is one stop on the 2009 Acorns of Hope route. The group’s mission is to plant trees and educate the community on coastal erosion and the importance of replacing trees destroyed by hurricanes.
