UL LAFAYETTE TO HONOR DISTINGUISHED STUDENTS TONIGHT
 
EVENT: 2009 Honors Convocation

DATE: Tuesday, April 7, 2009 (tonight)

TIME: 7:30 p.m.

LOCATION: Angelle Hall Auditorium

INFORMATION: The annual Spring Honors Convocation at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette will be held on Tuesday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Angelle Hall Auditorium. The convocation speaker will be Dr. Joseph E. Neigel, professor of Biology. Dr. Neigel holds the Charles R. Godchaux/BORSF Professorship in Biodiversity Research Development. Among his many awards and honors are being named a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Bodega Marine Lab at UC Davis in 2001 and a UL Lafayette Distinguished Professor in 2005. His convocation address will be on Charles Darwin and the 150th anniversary of the publication of On the Origin of Species. The convocation will honor those students who have distinguished themselves in academic excellence at UL Lafayette. Those invited include sophomores, juniors and seniors with a 3.2.GPA.
