| EVENT: Acadiana Red and White Day at Louisiana State Capitol DATE: Tuesday, June 2, 2009 TIME: see info below. Buses depart from Lafayette Cajundome at 9 a.m. LOCATION: Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge INFORMATION: The University of Louisiana at Lafayette along with area partners are heading to Baton Rouge on June 2 for Acadiana Red and White Day. UL Lafayette officials are partnering with Acadiana-area chambers of commerce, economic development councils, city and parish governments, convention and visitors bureaus. Other partners include the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, the Lafayette Economic Development Authority, Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise, Louisiana Technical College, South Louisiana Community College and the Acadiana legislative delegation. Highlights include a group photo on the steps of the Capitol at 1:15 p.m., House recognition at 1:45 p.m. and Senate recognition at 2:30 p.m. Meetings with various state officials will take place starting at 2:45p.m. in the Louisiana State Museum.
