PIANIST SETIAWAN TO PRESENT CONCERT MARCH 17
 
Myrna SetiawanMyrna Setiawan will be presenting a solo piano concert featuring works by Rachamninoff, Scriabin, and Chopin, at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ducrest-Gilfry Auditorium in Angelle Hall. The event is part of the UL Lafayette Concert Series.

A prodigious talent, Setiawan debuted in Japan at the Annual Yamaha Junior Concert in 1981 at the age of 11. She has won many competitions including First Place in the famous Joanna Hodges International Piano Competition as well as in the California Association of Professional Teachers Concerto Competition. Of other noteworthy honors include winning Joseph Fisch International Competition, Bartók Competition, San Francisco Conservatory Concerto Competition, Southwestern Youth Music Festival Competition, and the WGUC Radio Competition.

Admission to the concert is $10 general admission, $5 students and free to UL Lafayette faculty, staff, and students.
