C. Senator Riehl offered the following motion:The Executive Officer shall
reconstitute the committee for the faculty club, the committee to be appointed
by the Executive Officer with the aim of creating a corporation to create a
university club. Seconded by Sen. Bary.
If incorporated as a legal entity, the committee would be able to fund-raise
and do other things to get the faculty club off the ground. This had been done
once before, but it lapsed. The committee would investigate the possibilities
of having a working faculty club. Questions were raised concerning faculty interest, particularly if dues were large The recommendation
was to start small. The previous executive officer appointed an AD Hoc
committee on the faculty club, but it did not report back to the Senate. Sen.
Byrd declared it evanesced. The question was asked what facility is proposed at
this time. Currently there is none. The new committee would also take up the
matter of what happened to the money formerly to be donated for the faculty
club. Sen. Gentry suggested getting a written explanation. Motion passed.
Senator Byrd asked for volunteers for the committee.

Benefits Committee to work with Professor Womack regarding his concerns about
retirement and DROP calculations. Seconded by Sen. Riehl. Motion passed

will be near the dorms and another one may also be built where there is
currently a parking lot., not near where McNasby Stadium was.

individual could approach the Faculty Welfare and Benefits .
