REPORT
Ad Hoc Web Site Committee
31 January 2001
Progress on the UL Faculty Senate Web site continues:
* The MOTIONS link now includes all motions passed by the Senate during the 2000- 2001 academic year. Thanks goes to Senate secretary Ellen Cook for supplying the text!
* After receiving a text file of the FACULTY HANDBOOK from Dr. Cicardo's office, it was recently discovered that UL Webmaster has already started work on a hypertexted version for the Senate Web Site. This should be completed this semester.
* A "Faculty" link will be included on the front page of the UL Web site in the near future. This will lead to a number of sub-links, including the Faculty Senate page.
* Arrangements are being made with Dr. John Greene, the new editor of the Faculty Forum, to make the next issue and all subsequent issues available on the Senate Web site. All Senate Committee chairs are highly encouraged to submit their reports to Ellen Cook in ELECTRONIC form as well as paper so that they can be quickly placed on the Senate Web site. The Committee welcomes feedback from individual Senators on suggested materials for inclusion and other ideas for improving its use.
Respectfully Submitted,
Jack Ferstel, Chair
