Proofreading is the most important part you play in the preparation of your publication. Please use a RED pen to mark all corrections. Black ink, blue ink and pencil are easily missed and result in costly trips back to composition and most importantly, a delay in your publication. First Draft... ...first proof you will receive after your publication
is typeset. This may be type only, artwork, pictures, logos, etc., may
also be included. NOW is the time to catch all errors and make necessary
changes. Clearly mark corrections or changes in RED.
Final Proof... ...this proof displays the placement of your pictures,
the positioning of the text, the artwork, logos, etc. All colors, screen,
special effects, and folds will be indicated on this proof.
The amount of time
you keep your proof greatly affects your printing schedule. Printing Services
cannot guarantee your due date if the job is held up during the proofing
stage. You may be asked to reschedule your due date if you need to retain
the proof for more than a few days. The amount of time it takes to complete
a job remains the same. On rush jobs we strive to meet your deadline and
ask for your assistance in returning the proof as quickly as possible.
Please remember that proofreading is
not an easy task, and should be done thoroughly and carefully. Document last revised
