The American Institute of Chemical
Engineers, AIChE, was founded in 1908. It has more than
50,000 members nationwide and this number continues to
grow. AIChE is comprised of hardworking Chemical Engineers
that run plants and make products at reasonable costs.
It's members also help a great deal with the disposal of
harmful
products; therefore, protecting our environment.
Our chapter has monthly meetings where we eat, drink,
and learn about upcoming events, and what's new in chemical
engineering. We participate in many events such as: fundraisers,
sporting events against other engineering disciplines,
engineering
day, fieldtrips, and annual conferences, etc... Joining
AIChE is a great way to meet other students in your major
and
learn
more
about
the chemical engineering field.
