About Us

University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Accounting Society is open to all students within the College of Business and to those students already possessing a bachelor's degree who are attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to obtain further education.

The purpose of the Accounting Society is to enhance the education and experience of accounting students at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. It is the organization's goal to cultivate an interest in accounting that may lead to a possible career in this field. The organization works with the Business Department to build accounting student’s communicational skills and problem solving techniques to strengthen his or her marketable talents.

The club also works with national firms, corporate and small businesses, and the local community to increase students' participation in the accounting profession. These objectives are to be accomplished through guest speakers, firm tours, social events, as well as other academic and nonacademic activities.
