The Performing Arts Department at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is conducting open auditions for ages 12 and up for the upcoming summer theater productions.

Auditions will be held May 21, June 1 and June 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Burke Theater. The ‘Once Upon A Time’ summer season includes the musical “Into the Woods,” a children’s production “Rutherford Wolf,”and Shakespeare's “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

Those auditioning should prepare 16 bars of an upbeat musical theater song and a one-minute Shakespeare monologue or a short poem. An accompanist will be provided.
