Tennis Matches for Homecoming 2005

Tennis courts at Bourgeois Hall will be packed with competition on Oct. 28 when the UL Lafayette Alumni Homecoming 2005 Tennis Tournament begins.

Registration for the tournament begins at 7:30 a.m. with matches set to start at 8 a.m. Everyone is invited to play. The tournament will benefit the Bourg Scholarship Fund and Alumni programs that support the University.

Entry fee is $50 per person and includes lunch, refreshments and a t-shirt for each player. Prizes will be awarded to each member of the first second and third place teams.

The format is mixed doubles. Best 2 of 3 sets, no add scoring, third set is a 10 point tie-breaker. Players will play a minimum of 3 matches. This is an all day event.

Tournament sponsors include Red Lerille's, McLeod-Trahan-Sheffield Physical Therapy Services Inc., Kentwood Spring Water and Albertson's Food and Drug.

The Ragin' Cajuns will take on Troy University on Oct. 29 with kick off set for 4 p.m. at Cajun Field.
