'Writing in Galleries' Scheduling School Visits

Published

The AmeriCorps of UL Lafayette, in conjunction with the Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art Museum, is now scheduling schools and classes for this spring's Writing in the Galleries project.

Writing in the Galleries offers children in grades 1-12 the opportunity to visit the University Art Museum and engage in a series of arts-based literacy activities that address grade-specific language arts benchmarks. This program is available to teachers and students throughout the region.

A Learn and Serve grant form the University of Louisiana System makes this programming available at no cost to all elementary schools in Vermilion Parish and select elementary schools in Lafayette Parish. For more information or to schedule a tour, call 337-482-6060 or email wig2007@gmail.com
