Istre Awarded 2008 Jefferson Caffery Award

Moriah C. Istre of Lafayette is the recipient of the 2008 Jefferson Caffery Award at UL Lafayette for her paper entitled “Festivals Acadiens in Southwest Louisiana: A Cultural Expression.” The Caffery Award competition encourages UL Lafayette students to conduct scholarly research utilizing primary source materials held in the special collections area of Dupré Library. The competition is open to both graduate and undergraduate students.
