Check out the streamlined, campus-wide calendar recently launched by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

It consolidates all campus events and the academic calendar in one place, said Elizabeth Rose-Arcuri, the University’s associate director of digital communications.

“Before, athletics had its own calendar, student organizations had their own calendar, and so on. Those still exist, but now all calendars are accessible through the new centralized calendar website,” she explained.

Other benefits? Users can add events to their personal calendars with the click of a button. And the calendar contains filters that enable users to subscribe to specific categories and receive notifications about upcoming events.

“Someone interested in music can receive notifications about events hosted by the School of Music and Performing Arts, for example,” Rose-Arcuri said.
