UL Lafayette Recognizes 17 With Perfect GPA For Graduation

Seventeen students from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette will be honored for perfect 4.0 grade point averages during Spring commencement exercises on May 15.

The 17 are UL Lafayette’s top undergraduates for the Spring 2010 semester. They include:

• Amenah Abdelfattah, daughter of Linda Domingue of Lafayette. Abdelfattah will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Liberal Arts. She majored in English and minored in French.

• Oliver Achi, son of Dr. and Mrs. Jibran and Celina Atwi of Jeanertte. Achi will receive a Bachelor of Science degree from the Ray P. Authement College of Sciences. He majored in chemistry with a minor in mathematics.

• Holly Bellard, daughter of Toni Fontenot, James Bellard and Julius Fontenot of Washington, La. Bellard will receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. She majored in management.

• Sherri Bennett, daughter of Jay and Anne Bennett of Zachary. Bennett will receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. She majored in management.

• Amanda Blanchard, daughter of Noel Landen of Franklin and Steven Blanchard. She will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Liberal Arts. Blanchard majored in speech pathology and audiology with a minor in psychology.

• Alayna Dugas, daughter of Ken and Debbie Dugas of Carencro. She will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Liberal Arts. Dugas majored in English and minored in history.

• Brad Gros, son of Michael and Sheri Gros of Port Allen. He will receive a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Liberal Arts. Gros majored in psychology with a minor in sociology.

• Naomie Guilbeau, daughter of Charles and Veda Guilbeau of Lafayette. She will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Education. Guilbeau majored in English education with a concentration on grades 6 – 12.

• Beverly Harlton, daughter of Robert and Patricia Harlton of Lafayette. She will receive a Bachelor of Music degree from the College of the Arts. Harlton majored in music with a concentration in performance.

• Kimberly Hefner, daughter of Daniel Hefner Sr. and Blanche Ballowe Hefner of Lafayette. She will receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. Hefner majored in accounting.

• Marsela Jakub-Wood, daughter of Travis and Destari Wood of Eunice. She will receive a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the College of Engineering. Jakub-Wood majored in electrical engineering with a minor in mathematics.

• Haley Maturin, daughter of Lloyd and Phyllis Maturin of Maurice. She will receive a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. Maturin majored in dietetics.

• Nkemdilim Mgbojikwe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mgbojikwe of Lagos, Nigeria. She will receive a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. Mgbojikwe majored in dietetics.

• Allison Richard, daughter of LeRoy and Maria Richard of Church Point. She will receive a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Education. Richard majored in early childhood education with a concentration on grades Pre-K – 3.

• Lauren Sonnier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Sonnier of St. Martinville. She will receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. Sonnier majored in accounting.

• Jessica Verret, daughter of Tina and Nathan Verret of Gueydan. She will receive a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Education. Verret majored in kinesiology with a concentration on exercise science.

• Eleanor Ware, daughter of Edward and Janice Ware of Rayne. She will receive a Bachelor of Interior Design from the College of the Arts. Ware majored in interior design with a minor in business.
